Bowl for Dreams is a charity bowling fundraiser designed to turn one night of friendly competition into lasting opportunity for young people in Central Arkansas. Local businesses, civic organizations, and community members come together around one purpose: Investing in Youth!

The DREAM Foundation of Central Arkansas is a registered 501(c)(3) focused on Faulkner County. In 2025, the Foundation awarded $26,000 in scholarships to 41 high school recipients, and more than $20,000 in scholarships in 2026. It’s mission supports positive outcomes in education, self-esteem, health, nutrition, financial literacy, and leadership

Teams of five will compete in two games of bowling. The scores of all five bowlers from both games will be combined, and the team with the highest total pinfall will be crowned the 2026 Bowl for Dreams Champion and receive the $1,000 Grand Prize.

 Core Rules of 9 Pin

• The First-Ball Strike Rule: If your first roll of any frame knocks down 9 pins, the automatic scoring system automatically clears the deck and awards you a Strike ("X"). Naturally, knocking down all 10 pins is also a strike.

• When Do You Actually Roll a Second Ball? You only throw a second ball in a frame if your first delivery knocks down 8 pins or fewer. In that scenario, you must play the frame like traditional bowling to pick up the spare.

Score Impacts & Perfect Games

• Because an 9-count functions identically to a strike, scores skyrocket in this format.
• A "perfect game" of 300 points (12 consecutive strikes) becomes highly achievable.
• A bowler can technically shoot a 300 game without ever actually pocketing all 10 pins on a single throw, as long as they consistently hit at least 9 pins on every initial ball.
